Location: Alternatives in Physical Therapy – Wilbraham, MA
Schedule: Approximately 15-40 hours per week
Compensation: $50–$60 per hour (based on experience)


About the Position
Alternatives in Physical Therapy is a small, patient-centered private practice seeking an experienced and motivated Full or Part-Time Physical Therapist to join our team and potentially become a partner in the practice. We emphasize high-quality, one-on-one patient care, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based rehabilitation. This role is ideal for a seasoned clinician who enjoys working independently, applying strong clinical reasoning, and delivering hands-on care in a personalized outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic and neurological diagnoses in an outpatient setting
• Provide one-on-one treatment sessions lasting 45–60 minutes
• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation programs
• Apply skilled manual therapy techniques as appropriate
• Create and manage treatment plans and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs)
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans of care to optimize outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with referring providers and maintain professional communication with patients and team members
Qualifications
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Massachusetts
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy
• Strong background in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Experience treating orthopedic and neurological conditions
• Ability to work independently with excellent clinical decision-making skills
• Experience directing and managing PTA treatment plans
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
